Recently, YouTube Banned Dangerous Pranks and Stunts in Wake Of ‘Bird Box’ Challenge. According to media reports, this action has been taken in wake of a wave of YouTubers have been posting birdbrained videos of themselves in hopes of going viral. The company stated that “it will prohibit any content “that encourages dangerous activities that are likely to result in serious harm.”
According to some media analysts, YouTube made the right decision. They believe that the Tide Pod challenge and the Fire challenge are examples of stunts that can result in injury or death. Whereas, others believe that banning the dangerous pranks videos is not the ultimate solution, as people will find alternative solutions to post their videos.
This scenario instigated a debate across social media regarding whether YouTube took the right decision to ban dangerous pranks and challenge videos?
