Recently, Bashar al-Assad led forces allegedly launched a chemical attack on the rebel-controlled city of Douma. This action received criticism from people around the globe. President Trump in one of his tweets mentioned that “the people responsible for this attack will pay a huge price”.

President Trump announced that “I ordered the United States armed forces to launch precision strikes on targets associated with the chemical weapon capabilities of Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad”
Given that Trump’s current approval rating is 50%, some policy analysts believed that this announcement of air strikes on Syria will increase Trump’s approval ratings. Whereas, others argued that his action will hurt Trump’s approval ratings, as it is against his electoral campaign declaration
This scenario instigated a debate over social media regarding whether the air strikes on Syria will help or hurt Trump’s approval ratings?
