Friday saw President Trump start a new controversy when he tweeted:
Time Magazine called to say that I was PROBABLY going to be named “Man (Person) of the Year,” like last year, but I would have to agree to an interview and a major photo shoot. I said probably is no good and took a pass. Thanks anyway!

Time Magazine then responded with a tweet of their own.
The President is incorrect about how we choose Person of the Year. TIME does not comment on our choice until publication, which is December 6.

The president was the Person of the Year last year and being president of the United States, no doubt, puts him in contention for the award this year. Whether or not he would receive it is in question. The Time Magazine Person of the Year Award might not hold the significance that it did in the past, but it is still quite an honor to receive. So, the question does come to mind: Who do you believe, President Trump or Time Magazine?
Fox News covering President Trump’s tweet:
Who do you believe, President Trump or Time Magazine? Is Time Magazine trying to put out a story on why the president is not the Person of the Year? Or is the president lying about the whole thing?
