Recently, the United Nations (U.N.) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said in an interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) that the trend in favor of nationalist policies around the world is making it harder to promote a global approach to fighting climate change.

Some media analysts believe that the U.N. Secretary-General is wrong regarding the effect of nationalism on the fight against climate change. Furthermore, they believe that climate change is globalist propaganda. Whereas others believe that U.N secretary is right, we have to be united to fight against the climate change on a global level.

This scenario instigated a debate across social media regarding whether the rise of nationalism really threatens fight against climate change?
