Recently, Meghan McCain, co-host of ABC’s The View and daughter of the late Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), told CNN’s Van Jones in an interview broadcast that she hates the United States without her father’s leadership. Meghan said that “As an American, I hate this country without him in it. I know that sounds awful. I don’t hate America but I just hate it without his leadership. And, I’m very sad all the time, and I’m struggling with that sadness”.
Some media analysts believe that Meghan McCain is grieving the loss of her Father. They argued that Meghan views her Father as her best Friend and a motivational leader, Thus they believe that we should ignore her comments that she hates America, because she is grieving over the loss of her Father. Whereas, others believe that If Meghan hates America, then she should move to Europe or Canada.
This scenario instigated a debate across social media regarding whether Meghan McCain is wrong to say “I hate America without my Father’s Leadership?
