We are in the final days of 2017. It makes one think about where the United States is and where it is going. President Trump has been in office for over 11 months, and it has been eventful, to say the least. The president is closing the year on a high note by accomplishing one of his main goals in tax reform. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act is the biggest overhaul of the tax code in 30 years. In the bill, we saw the removal of the individual mandate, one of the most unpopular parts of Obamacare. The president has also removed or rolled back countless regulations. We are seeing a record high stock market and what appears to be a booming economy. Unemployment is at its lowest levels in over a decade, and the country may be near full employment. On the international front, tensions still run high with North Korea, and President Trump has had recent battles with the United Nations over his decision to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. Still, as we look towards 2018, a question comes to mind. Is the United States on the right track or the wrong track as a country?
