President Donald Trump is currently in the middle of a five-country, twelve-day tour through Asia. He has visited Japan, South Korea, China, Vietnam, and will finish this weekend in the Philippines. This is the longest tour of Asia any president has taken since 1991 when President George H.W. Bush spent twelve days there. One of a president’s key duties is representing the United States around the world. As President Trump’s presidency nears the ten-month mark and he is on this long tour, a question comes to mind. Is President Trump doing a good job representing the United States?
People who feel the president is doing a good job representing the country believe he is showing that the United States is strong again. They believe, for too long, the United States has had the wrong mindset when it came to foreign policy. They feel that America was more interested in fixing the world’s problems at any cost, than looking out for what is best for the United States. Now, thanks to President Trump, America is going to do what is best for America and the world will have to go along with that.
Those who believe President Trump is doing a bad job at representing the country feel he is more interested in representing himself than the United States. They feel that his main goal, when meeting with world leaders, is setting up future business opportunities for himself and his family. They see him continually insulting the previous leaders of America and fawning over foreign leaders who, when he was on the campaign trail, he would call every name in the book. Many believe his combination of bragging and threats to fellow world leaders makes the United States look like a joke.
NBC News showing President Trump’s remarks at APEC summit in Vietnam:
Is President Trump doing a good job representing the United States? Is he sending a clear message that the other countries around the world will have to do things on America’s terms? Or, is he making himself and the United States look like a bunch of fools?
President Trump is representing the United States well
People who feel the president is representing the country well say that he is showing the world that they will have to do things America’s way. They feel that he is showing the world that America is strong again.
Watched @realDonaldTrump speech at Asian Economic Conference. He keeps getting better and better at strongly representing America to the world. 8 years of Trump will change the world and put it on a winning path, vs. the losing mindset we've had for the last 25 years.

President Trump is representing the United States poorly
Those who believe President Trump is doing a poor job say that he is more interested in representing himself than the country. They feel that he just wants to make things easier to start new business ventures abroad.
#Trump isn't representing the US overseas: he's on a SELF-PROMOTION TOUR.
His mind is not on America's foreign policy concerns: he's thinking about #Trump FAMILY REAL-ESTATE PROJECTS. (Jr. & Ivanka are the next wave.)
Meanwhile, he's legislating to CUT HIS OWN TAXES, at home.

This is the face of America representing us internationally. Trump's inability to speak in clear sentences is embarrassing. https://t.co/5kjU1OgI9E

What country is trump really supposed to be representing? Someone who is for America does not make these comments and say they would have done the same. pic.twitter.com/a3nMLBSQ46

Every time he travels abroad, Trump seems to build personal biz relationships instead of representing US interests. Wherever he goes he trashes his predecessors and all what America stands for ! He is a disgrace and he is not fit to be a US Prez!
